Maxima voted as the most popular employer in the retail sector

Maxima, a Lithuanian retail chain, was recognised as the company that received the most attention of employees in 2020 in the Lithuanian retail sector, and at the same time was recognised as one of the employers that attracted most interest from employees in the country.

In the annual TOP Employer elections organised by CV-Online, one of the largest job search portals in the country, the Maxima retail chain took the highest position among retail companies and remained in the top five of the overall list of the Lithuanian employers attracting most attention.

This award is the result of consistent and targeted improvement of working conditions at Maxima. In the face of the complex COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the safety of workers is at the centre of attention. At the same time, we want to provide you with the most attractive remuneration, additional motivation and career opportunities. We are glad that all this is appreciated not only by existing, but also by potential employees, who in search of a job give priority to our retail chain," says Jolanta Bivainytė, CEO of Maxima.

In the annual top Employer elections organised by CV-Online, the employers who received the most attention from employees and candidates in 2020 were selected by evaluating the results of the annual reviews of the company's account and job advertisements on the portal.

In total, 7 trading companies operating in the country have reached the top 50 of employers.

Maxima was recognised as the most human-like brand in Lithuania

The Lithuanian retail chain Maxima was recognised as the most human-like brand in Lithuania and ranked second among of the most favoured brands in the Baltic States, according to the survey conducted by DDB Brand Capital in the Baltic States. The most favoured brands in the Baltic States were announced on 2 October in Latvia during the Baltic Brand Awards 2020.

The most human-like brand is chosen on the basis of a company's corporate social responsibility activities.Respondents are asked whether a particular brand is socially responsible and creates added value for society.

“We are grateful to our customers for their trust and appreciation. We believe that the results of the survey show that the residents of the Baltic States appreciate our efforts to listen to the needs of our customers. However, it is no less important that buyers see that we do not remain indifferent to the problems in society and want to be useful members of it,” says Jolanta Bivainytė, CEO of Maxima, a Lithuanian retail chain.

According to the survey conducted by DDB Brand Capital in the Baltic States, the Lithuanian retail chain Maxima is outperformed only by Swedbank in its overall ranking. The retail chain overtook brands such as Omniva, Tele 2, Samsung in the ranking of the most loved brands in the Baltic States, and Lidl and Telia in the overall ranking of Lithuania. In Latvia, Maxima ranked first in terms of value for money and second in Estonia.

Brand Capital is a quantitative research method developed in the DDB network and adapted to the Baltic market, which has been carried out annually in Latvia since 2004, and in all the Baltic States since 2012. 1000 respondents are interviewed in each country. The aim of the research and awards is to find out the value and influence of the biggest brands operating in the Baltic States. The main evaluation criteria of the survey are customers' planned shopping and emotional attachment.

Buyers rated: the highest quality of vegetables and fruits – in Maxima

Icertias, the Swiss certification agency, has awarded the Lithuanian supermarket chain Maxima the QUDAL award for the highest quality of vegetables and fruits sold on the Lithuanian market. The award is based on the evaluations of the buyers. The majority of Lithuanian residents during the Swiss agency's research stated that Maxima is the largest retail chain offering the highest quality of fresh vegetables and fruits in the whole country.

“Every day, we work to ensure that our customers find a wide range of high-quality products in our stores. We pay particular attention to the fruit and vegetable category, where customers are very demanding. As the country's population strives to eat and live healthier, vegetables and fruit are becoming an increasingly important part of their diets and shopping carts. As a result, we not only choose our suppliers of vegetables and fruit in a responsible manner, but also make sure that their products are always fresh, picked in time and arranged in an orderly manner on our sales floors. The QUDAL award is a truly gratifying recognition of our efforts”, says Kristina Meidė, Head of Maxima chain.

In accordance with K. Meide, buyers in Lithuania highly value fresh produce from local farmers, which is why the supermarket chain gives priority to it. At the same time, the aim is to ensure that each buyer of vegetables and fruit in the assortment finds products that meet his needs.

Through the QUDAL Awards, the certification agency Icertias encourages market players from different sectors to strive for the highest quality of products and services, and makes it easier for consumers to choose quality leaders. At the same time, this certification programme allows consumers to have their say in assessing the quality of services and products offered by service providers and manufacturers.

As part of its analysis of the Lithuanian retail market, the certification agency Icertias surveyed 1,200 people in the country aged 15 and over in January this year. The survey was conducted using the CAWI-DEEPMA methodology.

Icertias, an independent international market research and certification agency, also awards Best Buy and Customer's Friend awards. Based in Switzerland, the organisation analyses and certifies markets in more than 40 countries and has been doing so for more than a decade.

Maxima a TOP employer again

Lithuanian retailer Maxima has been recognised as one of the country's employers of most interest to employees and the retailer that attracts the most attention from employees. In the annual TOP Employer election organised by CV-Online, one of the largest job search portals in the country, Maxima was ranked the highest among the trading companies and third in the overall list of winners.

Maxima in the 2019 elections was one of the two trading companies that was among the top 10 employers in the country. A total of 12 trading companies made it into the Top 50 employers. The supermarket chain will be awarded a special electronic TOP Employer badge, confirming that the company was among the employers preferred by jobseekers in 2019.

“We consistently strive to create attractive working conditions for our employees and provide them with the best possible opportunities for earnings and career perspectives. This is reflected in the results of the TOP Employer election and the rating given to our company. We moved up from second place in 2018 to first place in the trading companies category. This is proof that we are moving in the right direction. At the same time, it is an important recognition of our efforts. Especially considering that this year the top employers were elected only on the basis of an objective criterion of the number of job advertisement reviews,” says Kristina Meidė, the head of the Maxima retail chain.

Maxima chain – best customer service

In accordance with the results of the 2019 Customer Service Quality Survey of the Lithuanian supermarket sector, the Lithuanian supermarket chain Maxima provides the best customer service. As many as in 4 of the 5 components of the study: environmental criteria, closed departments, aisles and checkouts – Maxima's stores are at least a few percentage points above the sector average.

The latest survey of the secret buyer of the customer service quality improvement company DIVE Lietuva showed that the total fulfilment of the customer service quality criteria in the Lithuanian supermarket sector is 87.7 per cent.

According to Ieva Vejelytė, the head of the secret buyer's investigation conducted by DIVE Lietuva, the established customer service in Lithuanian stores corresponds to the average customer service benchmark. Meanwhile, Maxima's customer service quality indicator is 91.4% – higher than the sector average, reflecting a very high standard of service quality.

“We often hear from various Lithuanian companies that excellent customer service is very important to them, but not always words correspond to actions. We are delighted that we have companies in Lithuania that demonstrate that consistent work and targeted communication with employees can lead to impressive results in the field of customer service,” says I. Vejelytė, Head of Research at DIVE Lithuania.

Maxima's efforts recognised with the Centennial Employer Award

During the conference Employers 2019 in Kaunas, progressive companies that continuously develop their corporate responsibility and actively create added value for society were honoured. The Centenary Employer of the Century Award was presented to the Lithuanian supermarket chain Maxima.

In recognition of the award, Kristina Meidė, Managing Director of the Maxima supermarket chain, emphasised that the sustainably growing business opens up new opportunities every year for specialists with the most diverse qualifications and encourages the development of every employee by investing in training programmes and refresher courses, and by fostering and nurturing the idea of mentoring. K. Meidė is convinced that Maxima's long-term employees are the best teachers because they are willing to share their experience and expertise.

Lithuanian retailer Maxima has been recognised as the most loved retail brand in Lithuania and ranked second in the ranking of the most loved brands in the Baltics, according to the results of the survey conducted by DDB Brand Capital in the Baltic States. The most beloved brands in the Baltic States Baltic Brand Awards 2019 were announced on 3 October in Latvia during the Baltic Brand Forum 2019.

Maxima wins international Customers' Friend – Because It’s You We Care About medal and he Superior Excellence status

Maxima, the largest chain of stores in Lithuania, has added another prestigious medal to its collection of awards – Customers' Friend – Because It’s You We Care About, awarded by ICERTIAS, an authoritative international certification association based in Zurich.

The Customers' Friend certificate is an international recognition mark awarded to companies and organisations for providing top-quality service and exceptional relationships with employees, customers and suppliers.

To earn the ICERTIAS Customers' Friend programme award, companies must provide the highest quality service to their customers. In order to select the winner of the Customers' Friend Gold Medal, a rigorous screening process is carried out for the companies nominated for the Customers' Friend programme, during which ICERTIAS carries out a number of comprehensive checks on the applicants.

Maxima named Company of the Century in Investors' Forum elections

In 2018, the Investors' Forum association, which brings together the largest and most active investors in Lithuania, awarded the most contributing businesses, state institutions, education and media representatives to improve the investment climate in the country. To celebrate the centenary of the restoration of the Lithuanian State, the Association has established a special nomination – the Centenary Company Award. In the opinion of the voters and the jury, the largest job creator in the country – Lithuanian trading company Maxima – was recognised as the Centennial company.

The Centenary Company award is a great recognition of the longstanding work and efforts of our very large team, and we are particularly pleased about it. Maxima is no longer just a store. In people's minds, it is synonymous with the shopping experience, a place where you can always find what you need every day.
